Extending over 400 square kilometres, Angkor is said to have been the town center of the Khmer Kingdom. Its architecture is said to be derived from the indian subcontinent – built by Suryavarman II and Jayavarman VII. Consequently, the motives in the complex are also largely hindu-buddist, with significant emphasis on the epic Ramayana.
This temple is also said to be one of the most popular destinations for travel around the world!
